The Citizen Redistricting Commission is hosting public input sessions in August to gather feedback for its map drawing efforts as well as to prepare the public to provide testimony when the court holds public hearings this fall. Public input is crucial because redistricting relies on a nuanced understanding of local communities: what changes have occurred in the community over the last ten years? What is the impact of the current districts on the community? What are the key interests that are important to the community and that differentiate it from surrounding communities? Share the story of your community with the Citizen Redistricting Commission at the following hearings:
Minneapolis, Wednesday August 10 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Northfield, Thursday, August 11 from 7-9 p.m.
Minnetonka, Tuesday, August 16 from 7-9 p.m.
St. Paul, Wednesday, August 17 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
St. Cloud, Thursday, August 18 from 7-9 p.m.
Willmar, Wednesday, August 24 from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m.
